INDONESIA INSOLVENCY CONFERENCE 2026
As global commerce continues to expand across jurisdictions, insolvency and restructuring matters increasingly involve assets, creditors and stakeholders located in multiple countries. This reality demands a legal framework capable of addressing cross-border insolvency in a predictable, cooperative and efficient manner. Recognizing these developments, Indonesia is exploring the adoption of the UNCITRAL Model Law on Cross-Border Insolvency as part of the forthcoming amendment to its Bankruptcy and Suspension of Debt Payment Obligations Law.
The adoption of this internationally recognized framework is expected to strengthen Indonesia’s insolvency regime, facilitate cross-border cooperation between courts, and enhance legal certainty for investors and creditors. The Indonesia Insolvency Conference 2026 aims to serve as a platform for dialogue among leading restructuring and insolvency practitioners, policymakers, academics and judges from across the Asia-Pacific region. Through expert discussions and knowledge sharing, the conference will explore how the UNCITRAL Model Law can shape the future of restructuring and insolvency practice in Indonesia and the region.
